What is the Accommodations Details tool?
The Accommodations Details tool allows instructors to view student accommodations approved by the Student Disability Access Center (SDAC) within UVACanvas.
The Accommodations Details tool will only display students with requested and approved accommodations. To view students in the tool, you will need permission to view their accommodations in the SDAC Faculty Portal (opens new window). If you are aware of accommodations for students in this course that should be available to you, please contact SDAC for assistance.

Note: The Accommodations Details tool is not intended to replace the SDAC Faculty Portal. It is meant to provide quick access to student accommodation information within UVACanvas.
Accommodations Details Features
Instructors in a Canvas course with permission to view student accommodations in the SDAC Faculty Portal (opens new window) can:
- View a brief or detailed record of SDAC-approved accommodations for students in their course.
- Create differentiation tags (opens new window) for students with approved extra time accommodations.
- Keep track of recently approved accommodations for students throughout the semester.
- Download a CSV file with a list of students and their approved accommodations.
IMPORTANT: The information in the Accommodation Details table is sensitive information. If you choose to download a CSV file, please save the file in an appropriate location and delete it after use.
Note: If you do not see data in the Accommodation Details tool, there may not be accommodations that you can view. If you are aware of accommodations for students in a course that should be available to you, please contact SDAC for assistance.
