A default thumbnail is automatically generated for videos using the image present at the three-second mark. You can change the thumbnail of a video or audio file by uploading an image from your computer, using the Capture button to select a frame in the video, or by selecting the Auto-Generate button. For more on modifying a thumbnail, see Kaltura Knowledge Center - Set the media thumbnail (opens new window).
You can trim the start and end of a video or create clips from uploaded media files using the Video Editor. For more information on how to trim, clip, chop, and splice media, see Kaltura Knowledge Center Video editing tools - editor tab (opens new window).
You can add presentation slides or create chapters to allow viewers to quickly navigate to specific timestamps in a video or audio file. For more information on managing slides and chapters, see Kaltura Knowledge Center - Create chapters and slides (opens new window).
You can add hotspots to a video to provide viewers with additional engagement, information, and links to relevant content. For more information on creating and adding hotspots, see Kaltura Video Editing Tools - Create hotspots (opens new window).

You can combine existing video and image files into one video by using the Kaltura Media Stitching tool. For more information on how to stitch media, see Kaltura Knowledge Center - Media stitching in Canvas (opens new window).
