How do I log into Panopto?

When trying to access a Panopto video that has been linked or embedded in a UVACanvas site (for example, in Modules, Assignments, or Discussions), you may be asked to log in or Request Access. If you encounter a message indicating that you need to log in or request access to a video, you will need to select the Panopto Video link in the Course Navigation Menu to log into Panopto before playing the video.

Try to access the video.

Try to access a Panopto video that was added to a course in one of the following ways:

  1. By selecting a link to the video,
  2. Or by viewing the video embedded in the course, for example, in a page or module.

If you are presented with either a login screen or the message, "You do not have access to this. Request Access," do not request access. Instead, follow the steps below to log into Panopto.

Go to Panopto Video.

Select Panopto Video from the Course Navigation Menu.

Access the video.

A new screenshot of the same example Canvas page. A Play button and other video controls are visible on the media player, along with a clearer image of running horses.

Return to the link or page with the video and you will be able to play it.
