How do I access media analytics in My Media or Media Gallery?

Analytics provide information about viewer or listener engagement. You may be able to access the following types of analytics in My Media and Media Gallery:

  • Individual File Analytics: If you are the owner of a Media Gallery file or you have permission to edit it, you may access its analytics. These analytics include the total number of times the file has been played in My Media and all courses where it has been published.
  • Media Gallery Analytics: In the Media Gallery of each course where you are an instructor, you may access an overview of analytics for media published in the course. This Analytics page only includes activity specific to the course.

Tip: You may give a co-instructor or teaching assistant permission to view analytics for a file you own by following the steps to add them to the file as a Co-Editor (opens new window).
