How do I import a Zoom meeting into Online Meetings?

You can import a Zoom meeting you scheduled directly within Zoom to a UVACanvas site's Online Meetings. When you import a meeting:

  • Links to cloud recordings of the meeting will also be included in Online Meetings.
  • If it is a recurring meeting, all sessions of the meeting and recordings associated with its meeting ID will be imported.
  • Events for meetings will display in the Canvas Calendar for the course where they are imported.

Note: Review the following limitations of the feature to import meetings.

  • Each meeting can only be associated with one UVACanvas site at a time.
  • Imported meetings cannot have scores for their polls or attendance reports sent to the Canvas Gradebook.
  • You cannot import a meeting or cloud recording associated with your Personal Meeting ID.

Log in to Zoom.

Go to the UVA Zoom Login Page (opens new window) and log in to Zoom.
