What is the UDOIT Accessibility Report tool?
UDOIT Accessibility Report is a digital accessibility checker that can scan a Canvas course to identify and provide guidance for remediating inaccessible content.

UDOIT Tool Features
UDOIT scans for inaccessible content in the following areas:
- Announcements
- Assignments
- Classic Quiz Instructions
- Discussions
- Pages
- Syllabus
- Module URLs
- Files
UDOIT can detect the following issue types, including:
- Color
- Images
- Links
- Page Headings
- Page Structure
- Table Headers
- Video Captions

Instructors can:
- Select the tool to scan a course in UVACanvas for accessibility issues. Note: The first time UDOIT is selected from the Course Navigation Menu, it will automatically scan course content. After 24 hours, UDOIT will scan new (previously unscanned) content when accessed again from within the course.
- Update the list of accessibility issues in a course using the Scan Now or Full Rescan option. Note: You can find information about these options in How often does UDOIT scan my course content? (opens new window).
- Visit the Home page to view the Course Accessibility Scorecard, with issues broken down into High, Medium, and Low Impact categories.
- Use the UFIXIT interface to review and fix inaccessible content based on the suggestions provided by the tool.
- Access the Review Course Files tab to:
- View, sort, and filter files in a course by file types, available alternate formats, or accessibility issues.
- Select the Review button for a file to display and remediate issues associated with that file.
- Request that a file be converted into Alternate Formats, for example, a Canvas Page (HTML), Audio File (MP3), or Auto Tagged PDF.
